We are now accepting writing submissions from our Witch Basket friends and family! Please read the following guidelines before submitting any of your work.

Guidelines for Submission

Readers may submit their original work for review and possible posting on this website. This includes: poetry, circle castings and incantations, articles, short stories, recipes, book reviews (absolutely no author bashing), "how to" articles such as "How to Make Ceremonial Incense for Samhain Celebrations", etc. Other types of literary work may be considered.

Authors will be required to state in their correspondence to Witch Basket that they are 18 years of age or older.

No pornographic material, profanity, or writing promoting hatred or intolerance may be submitted. As we have stated, we do not discriminate based upon age, skin color, ethnicity, gender, ideology, nationality, sexual orientation, or mental or physical challenges.

Authors may submit their original work via email to Witch Basket by placing the text in the body of the email. We will not open email attachments.

Authors will not receive compensation for their submitted work regardless if it is posted on this website or not.

All reader-submitted written items will be reviewed for appropriate content before it is posted.

Not all submissions will be posted.

Submissions cannot be more than 500 words.

Check your work carefully. We will not post items that are heavy with poor grammar and misspelled words, no matter how wonderful the piece is. (An occasional error here or there is acceptable, after all, we are human...)

Exceptional submissions may be included in our Witch Basket Newsletter.

Submissions will be copyrighted by Witch Basket and by the Author and may not be posted anywhere else without express permission of the Author.

Font text and style will be representative of this website. Images will be limited to certain "how to" pieces when appropriate and must be discussed with Witch Basket before being submitted.

Posted submissions may change frequently. No reader-submitted piece will remain posted indefinitely on this website.

Periodically our guidelines may be reviewed and updated.
